This is a promotional piece for American Vigor's Honor Trip. ruga-rell & I are artists, & Genescritor is our chief editor. About this picture:
We're making our way through the Arcosian O.C.s of Honor Trip's upcoming story arc, so next up is Kataba, the intrepid female scientist-in-training journeying with Kaji. She's the assistant to Ignai, & also helps keep Hagala & Hufeh in line. Her passion is learning & inventing, & her most prized possession is a custom scouter that she configured to be able to read extremely high power levels - yes, even those above 8000.
If you want to see my original concept art for her, look in my Scraps - Ruga did the lineart you see here, but her design & color scheme belong to me. Info:
Honor Trip is a Dragon Ball Z fanfiction created and written by American Vigor, edited by Genescritor, and with amazing art drawn by Ruga-Rell & colored by RyunoOhi. The story features an alternate reality scenario in which Cell gains the opportunity to overcome his malicious evil and pursues a path of redemption.
The Dragon Ball franchise is the property of Akira Toriyama, Toei Animation, FUNimation, Fuji TV, and other entities that have created or broadcast or otherwise disseminated official content for the franchise.
This is an excellent rendition of a fun character.
For those of you who have not yet read the first official story in which Kataba appears, you can read the first chapter of Honor Trip's Planet Arcos Mini-Series, written by the illustrious Ryu no Ohi (Roketto) herself! It's available here: [link]
Wait a minute, where the HFEL this arcosian girl came from? Freeza's race is assexual, ask salagir XD!!! Good work on that colors, its pretty good, I hope I can paint like this one day.
...From an egg? I refuse to subscribe to the idiotic notion that Arcosians are like Nameks, simply because we've only seen 3-4 of them, & all of them are male.
That would be like a group of isolated natives coming to the conclusion that European conquistadors were asexual because the only ones they saw were male. See? The logic falls through in such a fallacy.
I don't follow Salagir's fanon. Quite frankly, he's an idiot when it comes to Arcosians, & that's the nicest way I can put it, because he is biased. If you would rather follow his fanon over mine, then we have nothing more to say to each other, & I say good day to you, sir.
Nope, because we've seen virtually all of the Namekian race, & none are female. Plus we have a few instances of Nameks saying that their species does not have females. Besides that, Akira Toriyama himself said that Nameks are based on slugs & snails, which are asexual. So, the answer to your question is a resounding "no".
Now, if you're instead asking, "could Piccolo create a mutated Namek that had the outward appearance of a human female?", then it gets a bit trickier. His father, Piccolo Daimaou, created several minions in Dragonball that were not Namekian in body structure, & seemed to share no traits with their parent. These may be corrupted semi-clones, or they might be constructs of magic. The other explanation is that since Daimaou was introduced as a literal demon, there was plothole-inducing inconsistency when Toriyama made Nameks a race of aliens, not demons. The fanon workaround tends to explain this away by saying that because Daimaou was the corrupt half of Kami, he was akin to a demon, & thus could not produce a "normal" offspring unless he sacrificed his soul (which he did do, with Piccolo).
So now, with Piccolo, who for all intents & purposes is a whole Namekian after fusing with Kami...I'd still have to say that if he produced an egg, it would come out as a normal Namek, without any monstrous traits or anomalies.
Well, they look like males to us because they lack secondary & tertiary sexual characteristics that we humans associate with femininity. Also, it's easier to draw them, stylistically speaking, as though they're masculine, at least in Toriyama's style. I'm pretty sure a big part of it is their eyebrows, or lacking those, brow ridges. It's kind of the same problem I run into drawing Arcosians - their facial features make it inherently difficult to telegraph "this is a female character", because of their immovable eyebrow ridges. It's quite hard to draw their facial expressions for much the same reason...try drawing a human expression, without incorporating movement of the eyebrows. It's friggin' hard! Then again, as this page shows, it can be done.
Okay thanks for all the help & do you think nameks have genitals? And also do you think it's possible for it to be another planet full of a race that looks like nameks except they are a different race but all looks like female and are also asexual. And if yes how would you feel about that?
